Chapter 50 - “Time to Goat!”
Jenni poked Trix, waking Trix from slumber. “Huh..?” Trix’s eyes slowly opened. “No… no more gems. Please! I just want to sleep…”
“Sorry, can’t do that for ya,” Jenni giggled. “But I have something that should help make the days go by more quickly.”
Trix’s eyes blurred, sleep still hanging onto them. As they focused, the fox could see a huge plate of eggs benedict, illuminated with magical light. Trix’s stomach grumbled at the sight of the food. “Happy 1000th adventure, little buddy!” Jenni picked up her best friend and hugged the fox tightly. “I wouldn’t want to be chasing bandits around with anyone else! Now… go eat your breakfast!”
Trix excitedly gobbled down the eggs and found the plate glowing a brilliant red, orange, and yellow. It flew up into the night sky and into the distance.
“I think it senses some treasure. Let’s go follow it!” Jenni yelled as she ran after it.
“BEST. FRIEND. EVER!!!!!” Trix yelled back, leaping after her.
